EBC Farms Animal Rescue is committed to your right to privacy and to keeping your personal information private. You can visit the EBC Farms website without telling us who you are or revealing any identifying information about yourself. However, because our website includes areas in which visitors can provide personally identifying information, we have developed this privacy policy to inform you of our policies and practices regarding information we collect about you.

This privacy policy governs the URL https://www.ebcfarmsrescue.com and certain electronic communications sent out by EBC Farms. This website is owned and operated by the EBC Farms for the benefit of our homeless rescues, donors, and applicants… as well as all visitors interested in the care and protection of animals.

Who we are

EBC Farms Animal Rescue (“EBC Farms”, “EBC Farms Dog and Animal Rescue”, “we” or “us”) provides temporary care, in the form of food, shelter, medical care, grooming, and more, for homeless animals until they can be adopted into an appropriate home that is best suited to their needs.

EBC Farms Animal Rescue Inc is registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions to EBC Farms are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Our tax identification number is 84-5047254.

How we collect information about you

Information you voluntarily provide

EBC Farms collects and maintains certain personal information about you when you send us an email or complete any of our online forms, such as when you message us through our contact form, complete an adoption application, request information from us, or make a donation. Such information may include your name, mailing address and email address; it may also include a mobile phone number, contact information for personal and veterinary references, details regarding your home environment, and any other information collected in the forms. You may be asked to provide credit card information to donate or contribute to EBC Farms, or purchase certain items that are recommended by or support EBC Farms in some way.

We use this information to be able to properly research and process submitted adoption applications, keep appropriate records of donations and gifts, communicate with visitors who have requested contact or information, and to be able to analyze information that can help us improve our website and make it more useful and engaging for visitors.

The information that you provide is sent to us immediately via email, and is not saved or stored within our website. Submitted applications are immediately sent to us via email, where they are printed off and stored in physical format during application processing. Every applicant’s submitted information may be stored and filed in hardcopy format in our office for up to 6 months, after which they are shredded and disposed of securely. Red-flagged applicants (those who are deemed ineligible to adopt for various reasons) may have their information stored in hardcopy format at our physical location for up to 5 years. Regular messages sent to us are kept long enough for the necessary exchange of information, and then promptly deleted and purged.

Website files are regularly purged (daily and/or weekly) of unnecessary stored information, as this improves site speed and performance.

Should any personal information be involved in a suspected breach, users shall be contacted via email (for those that we have, should we employ use of a 3rd-party subscription service in the future), and by including the necessary  information and details on an updated version of this page. So, please continue to check back here for any such notices and/or changes to our privacy policy and terms of use in the future.

Other information

EBCFarmsrescue.com also collects certain other information that cannot identify you personally when you visit our website. This information includes your IP address and your domain name. EBCFarmsrescue.com logs these IP addresses and domain names and aggregates them for system administration and to monitor the use of our site. We use the aggregated information to measure the number of visits to our site, the average time spent on our site, the number of pages viewed and various other site statistics. This monitoring helps us to provide a more useful and engaging online experience to our visitors and helps us to improve the quality of our content.

EBC Farms uses cookies in order to make the results available for your on-site searches. Cookies are not used for any other reason on this site. A cookie is a small file that is sent out by a website, accepted by the user’s browser and placed on the user’s hard drive. You can always set your browser to warn of cookies being placed and then chose which cookies you want to accept. EBC Farms does not match any information gathered by cookies with personal information you may have voluntarily submitted to us.

EBC Farms also uses single pixel gifs, also called web beacons, in our emails. Web beacons track behavior such as who has opened an email and when, the IP address, the browser or email type, which links were clicked and other similar information. This allows us to measure the performance of email campaigns, see what actions subscribers took, create reports about email performance, improve the quality of our emails and segment messages for specific audiences.

EBC Farms uses remarketing with Google Adwords and analytics to display content specific advertisements to visitors that have previously visited our site when those visitors go to other websites that have the Google Display Network implemented. EBC Farms also uses Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting.

EBC Farms and other third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party and third-party cookies together to inform and serve ads based on a visitor’s past visits to our website.

We may use the information you voluntarily provided to contact you regarding submitted applications for adoption,  current or previous animal adoptions from EBC Farms,  or to keep you updated regarding EBC Farms news, programs, and updates and to extend an invitation to you to support our cause. Every recipient of our electronic communications can quickly and easily “opt out” of future such communications by following the instructions on any electronic communication we send.

We do not share or sell the information you provide us. We don’t like it being done to us… So, we aren’t going to do it to you.

From time to time, our Site may link to other websites not affiliated with EBC Farms. EBC Farms Animal Rescue attempts to link only to those websites which share a respect for visitor privacy and the goals of EBC Farms. Security

EBC Farms uses generally accepted, industry-standard security systems, software and encryption technologies—Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)—for the secure transfer of personal and financial data and to protect against unauthorized access to the our servers, equipment and other components of our online presence. This includes using industry-standard security systems to protect credit card processing information. Our web servers are stored off-site at multiple, physically secure facilities with limited access.
