Happy Tails Updates:

Scout’s New Leash on Life

Dear EBC Farms:

Remember when you told me how much you like to hear from your adoption families? Well, we have a wonderful six-month update.
We are the Wasko’s from Iowa and adopted Scout in August of last year. He had been through a few home changes before he came to you, and was finishing up his heartworm treatments when we took him home.
He has been a wonderful addition to our little family. We can happily report he tested heartworm negative this month and we are diligently keeping him up on monthly treatments. Yesterday,  he completed the  training we enrolled him in last year. We had 8 one-on-one sessions to help build self-confidence and strengthen our bond with him. He excelled and learned/retained his training almost immediately. We were impressed! We also found out this month through Embark he is 50% Great Pyrenees, 50% Siberian Husky. This explains his personality and demeanor a lot. It also explains why he is so SMART 🙂
We got a lot of snow this winter in Iowa and Scout is in heaven. He loves to hike, no matter how cold it is. He buries his head in the snow drifts like an ostrich. He gets multiple walks per day, since Josh works from home. With training complete, we can now do off-leash walks in the timber, which he loves! My favorite time with him is our 6:00 a.m. walks with just us two. It is so dark and peaceful. We pretend we are patrolling the neighborhood making sure all is safe 🙂
Thank you, again, for choosing us to adopt Scout. Thank you for all that you do. I hope these follow up stories help you on your tough days to keep focus on all the good you put out into the universe. I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy.
Until next time….
Summer and Josh Wasko

Our Mission

Our mission at EBC FARMS ANIMAL RESCUE is to rescue abandoned, neglected, abused, or otherwise homeless dogs, and place these animals into permanent, stable, and caring homes. We also strive to promote public awareness of the need to spay and neuter, as well as the importance of proper medical and nutritional care of their pets.

Our Non-Profit

On March 5, 2020 we filed for incorporation as a non-profit Animal Rescue and filed for 501(C)(3) status. All funds and donations go directly to the EBC FARMS Animal Rescue general fund, which is spent directly on the animals, and covers vet needs, food, bedding, toys, grooming, and more.

Our Ranch

We have our own central location where we love and care for the dogs here in Sequoyah County, OK, where they have indoor/outdoor accessible shelters, secure enclosures with ample room to run, and even a 1+ acre dog park. NONE of our rescue dogs reside in foster homes.

Our Process

Because every situation is different when doing adoptions, EBC FARMS Animal Rescue reserves the right to make decisions on a case-by-case basis. Our intent is to place each animal in the home we feel is best suited to that animal and their individual needs, and not on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
